It feels like everything we make is joined to something else to make it complete, how about a page listing all of the joining techniques.
Brazing –
Glue – there are many types of glue/adhesive, from those used to join paper to more complex glues that can bond metal to glass.
Nails –
Nut and Bolt –
Silver Soldering – similar technique to brazing, but has a lower melting point and tends to be a more commonly used technique for the the model engineer.
Soldering – Often described as soft soldering as this has a lower melting temperature and remains quite soft. Used in electrical joints and for a lot of metal constructions where they won’t see very high loads or temperatures in use.
