About

glue-it.com has existed and has been online since 1998 and is all about model making in all of it’s forms and straddling my other passion of science and engineering. Of course the science and engineering is where there are appropriate links.

With model making we all need tools of some form or other and so I have intertwined tool reviews within the pages. Firstly though we would like to introduce you to our Privacy Policy, then more About Us:

More About Us

Stuck, want to know about the site, who we are or how to contact us? This is the page we have put together to try and answer all of those questions about us. Have a look at what keeps me ticking in my gallery pages – Nigel Taylor

If you keep posting on forums and would really like a gallery to show off your work then do email me and we can help.

For any questions or ideas please drop us a line at: editor@glue-it.com

Articles

We are always on the lookout for articles on model making and would like to hear from professionals, amateurs, shop owners, clubs and manufacturers.

As you can see from our gallery pages the articles cover most forms of model making. The articles vary in length and depth of description, but all add to the wealth of information and hopefully will inspire someone else to have a go.

Vacuum Engine – this article is by Mick Cherry. If you would like a gallery page that lists all of your work then drop me a line as we’re always looking for contributions.

New product – if you are a manufacturer (big or small) and would like us to review a new product then drop us a line and we will see what we can do editor@glue-it.com.

If you want to contribute then please add a comment and if you would like to add to the pages then again, drop me a line as we would love to hear from you.

What I love is good design and good engineering, when they come together it is extra special and something quite amazing: the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, Supermarine Spitfire or the E-type Jaguar – all very special and beautiful. As a model engineer I love projects that break through the normal, make me think and make me go wow.

Amazon

We now have an Amazon storefront where we compile lists of tools and materials that we think is great for model makers. The commission we earn here helps with the upkeep of glue-it.com and means we test more tools and model engines first hand.

Instagram

A lot of my models and parts of models appear on my instagram posts

Follow my posts and you will get an even more regular update as to what is currently on the workbench and about what floats my boat in the world of model making.

I try to post images around the articles I’m posting as this adds depth to the work that I write about in-depth.
